2014 was an amazing year that gave me great experiences, friends and lessons. Either I succeeded and achieved what I wanted or I learned from my mistakes. This past year made me change, grow and become a better person. I really appreciate that I got the chance to get a better view of the world and its reality. I managed to get a new lesson stuck inside me forever which is that when you really want something, you can achieve it if you work with your mind because nothing is impossible. I call this lesson KAMUNITZALI.
On July of 2014 I went to a summer camp in Los Llanos named Kajuyali where I had the best time of my life surrounded by my best friends. I met new and incredible people and became friends with them and learned a lot about new cultures and accepting differences. Then most important thing from this summer camp is as I mentioned before, the KAMUNITZALI. The Kamunitzali is a 36 hour challenge inspired in a soldier’s trainment were you have to face your own limits and overcome them. You have two choices, you either finished the challenge or you gave up. Most people were not able to complete this task but I on the other hand convinced myself that I can do whatever I want to and that was how I was able to finish the task. Both of my friends, Paulina and Isabela were able to finish it.
I am thankful for this experience that has changed my life forever and has marked me in unimaginable ways. Kamunitzali has been the hardest yet best thing I’ve been through, it changed my perspective of life and myself. Now I know that I can trust myself with whatever I intend to do and that if I really try hard, there’s nothing out of reach. Now every time I want to give up I say to myself KAMUNITZALI and I know I’ll be able to do everything.
