We are defined as human beings, our existence doesn't have a logic explanation but our body itself does have it. We are made up of tiny little atoms that make us "us" but if you look deeper you'll find thousands of answers. Each human being has their own brain and all of them are made up of the same parts and materials but what is amazing is that each individual brain has their own thoughts going on inside of it. Each person can store all kinds of knowledge inside of it but how can we explain consciousnesses? How are we able to have feelings? With each question that ponders our brains we get more and more questions but never answers. There's no logic in being conscious, and there's no explanation to it but it's all clear, some questions just don't have an answer at all.
There must be something more than science, how can we explain the causes of being sad, happy or in love. I believe there must be some type of energy in our minds if we even have one. There should be magic inside each one of us and that is what makes us who we are and define us. Each person has a different spark of magic inside them and I think that explains the mind but at which point do we recognize were the brain ends and the mind starts?, that's another question yet to be solved. Our consciousness might just be an illusion but without it we would be a mop moving around, we wouldn't be us or have a defined personality.
Our world wouldn't advance without consciousness, there would be no knowledge, no curiosity. In other words there would be no world and we would exist in a fake and superficial way. Consciousness is what keeps us "alive" and make us know we exist. Let me ask you a question, which of our senses lead us to emotion? None of them, so then we find consciousness that's not physical but instead spiritual. A Consciousness is essential because it perceives existence.
